A practical example
Thirty North helps freelancers track their GST/HST thresholds as invoices come in. Entries stay in the browser, and the tool explains what it calculates and when someone should seek tax advice.

Build accessible interfaces, visual workflow editors, and data tools with reusable components.

Run containerized applications, workflows, and streaming or batch data pipelines on Google Cloud.

Containers, infrastructure & delivery
Define infrastructure in code, package applications in containers, and automate deployments and temporary environments.

Data engineering & integration
Build streaming and batch pipelines with validated schemas, partitioned storage, backfills, and checks that make data errors easier to trace.

AI model integration & evaluation
Use models to generate and edit workflows, then validate their output and have a person review it. Evaluate LLM responses and generated Python for correctness and task requirements.

Cloud solution architecture
Choose service boundaries, integrations, and deployment options based on what the organization needs and can support.

Identity, security & AI governance
Limit application access through least privilege and workload identity. Set policies for coding agents, including permissions, human approvals, dependency review, and audit logs.

Reliability & operations
Add logging, tests, recovery paths, and controlled releases so teams can diagnose failures and restore service. Track query and resource costs as part of that work.

Recent projects include Tiphys, an open-source editor for Argo Workflows, and Thirty North, a bilingual GST/HST tracker, alongside my work for public institutions.

At InMédia / BiblioMondo, I worked on platforms that helped cities, libraries, and museums publish content, manage media rights, and offer public services.

The platform combined content management and digital asset management so staff could publish information, media, and services in one place.

Where it had to run
Each institution had its own network, security policies, and maintenance schedule. The same product had to support several deployment options.
